“Make it rain”

We’re having a Vietnamese wedding, which means there’s no gift table, no toaster unboxing - just one simple tradition: cash in an envelope.

At the wedding, you’ll be handed a red or white envelope (bao lì xì) to pop your polymer inside and write your name outside. Toss it in the box and you’re good to go! If you insist on knowing how much is enough, the “market rate” in this economy is (more or less) 500,000 VND, approx. 16.50EUR, per person, children and pets excluded.
